How it works
  1. It plays silence, like a music player, so iPhone keeps this page running while locked.
  2. Every minute it sends a tiny check through your connection, so the hotspot stays in use.
  3. Paused by iPhone counts the times iOS froze the page anyway. If it goes up while your phone is locked, the web version doesn't work on your phone.

Good to know

  • Starting it may pause your music. When music plays, the music keeps the hotspot busy instead.
  • Each check uses roughly 1–6 KB of data (estimate). A web page can't tell Wi‑Fi from mobile data, so if the hotspot drops and your iPhone switches to its own mobile data, the checks go over mobile data.
  • If Safari closes the tab, it stops. Open the page and tap Start again.
  • No account, no tracking. The log stays in this browser.
